Honest country, honest animals.

This is a 7-night, fully-guided Backcountry Wilderness Pack hunt run on the best private and wilderness ground in the Pioneer Mountains.

You'll hunt out of a wall-tent spike camp set deep in the wilderness, up before light, glassing big country at first light the way it's meant to be done. One guide stays with you the whole hunt. We won't promise a kill — no honest outfitter can — but we will promise hard, fair effort and the best ground we have.

Before You Book

For most montana big game hunts here you'll need a Montana nonresident license and the right animal tag (Over-the-Counter for this unit, HD 331). We walk you through the entire draw and application process and tell you exactly what to apply for and when, so you're never guessing and never out of compliance in the field.

This is a backcountry hunt at altitude — expect several miles a day on steep, uneven ground between 5,200 and 9,900 feet. You don't need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable hiking with a daypack. Tell us honestly where you're at and we'll set a pace that fits.

Across the last three seasons our hunters have had a shot opportunity on a mature animal 84% of the time. We won't promise a kill — no honest outfitter will — but we will promise hard, fair effort on the best ground we have in the Pioneer Mountains.

Yes. We welcome non-hunting companions in camp at a reduced rate, including meals and lodging. Just let us know when you book so we can plan stock, bunks and meals accordingly.

Plans change and weather turns. Reach us with reasonable notice and we'll work with you to reschedule or refund. We'll always tell you straight what your options are before anything is locked in.
