When the wind comes over the ridge, the first thing you want is your head covered. The Trailhead is tight-knit merino wool — warm without the itch, and warm even when it is wet, which is the whole point of wool. It folds into a coat pocket, pulls down over your ears, and stays put while you work. Simple, dense, and honest, the way a watch cap should be.
