Built by hand from full-scribe lodgepole pine, Timberline sits right on the shore of Como Lake with the Bitterroot peaks rising straight out of the far bank. The great room centers on a floor-to-ceiling river-rock fireplace; wide decks wrap the lake side; and every window frames water and mountains.
Sleeping eight across four bedrooms, it's built for the whole crew — a basecamp for fishing the lake at dawn, hiking the wilderness boundary by day, and circling the firepit under more stars than you've seen in years.

Lake Como sits at the mouth of Rock Creek canyon, a glacial lake ringed by the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. Trout fishing off the dock, a 7-mile shoreline loop trail, and the trailhead to Como Falls are all steps away. The town of Darby — cafés, a saloon, and the ranger station — is a 15-minute drive.

Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Both are self-service with a smart-lock code we send the morning of arrival — but our caretaker lives nearby and is always a call away if you need anything.
Yes — two well-behaved dogs are welcome with a small cleaning fee. There's a fenced side yard, a mudroom with a dog wash, and miles of trail right out the door. Just let us know at booking so we can plan for them.
A 2-night minimum most of the year, rising to 3 nights in peak summer and over holiday weekends. Reach out for shorter mid-week gaps between bookings — we can sometimes accommodate a single night.
You won't be charged when you request to book. We confirm your dates first, then collect 50% to hold the lodge with the balance due 30 days before arrival. A refundable damage hold is placed on the card at check-in.
Cancel at least 7 days before check-in for a full refund of everything but the booking fee. Inside 7 days we refund the nights we're able to re-book. Plans change and weather turns — talk to us and we'll always work with you.
