Horseback Ridge Ride
Guided Trail Ride · Mountain string
Saddle up for the backcountry.
This guided 5 hours outing puts you out to wind through open foothill meadows with licensed Montana wranglers leading the way. We handle the gear, the route-finding, and the safety so you can focus on the experience — whether it's your first time out or your fiftieth. Small groups of up to 6 keep it personal, and your guide reads the conditions and tailors the day to the people who show up.
We cap the group small on purpose, so nobody's waiting around and every question gets answered. It's the kind of trip people rebook the same week.
Bring & wear
- Closed-toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty
- A warm layer — mountain weather turns fast
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a brimmed hat
- A refillable water bottle and a few snacks
- Long pants and boots with a small heel
- A light jacket that ties at the waist
Leave behind
- Valuables you can't afford to lose (lockers provided)
- Brand-new shoes you haven't broken in
- Loose jewelry and bulky bags

None at all. This trip is built for first-timers — your guide teaches you everything you need before and during the outing.
Guests must be at least 8 years old to join. Anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and younger kids should be accompanied by an adult on the trip.
Light rain rarely stops us, but we keep a close eye on the forecast. If conditions become unsafe, you can reschedule for free or take a full refund — your choice.
All the technical gear — your gentle saddle horse, helmet on request, and the rest — plus expert guiding and a safety briefing. You bring weather-appropriate clothing, water, and snacks; see the "Come Prepared" list above.
Absolutely. Private trips are perfect for families, birthdays, and corporate outings. Tell us your group size and preferred date and we'll set you up with your own departure and guide.
